At TEAM, we offer fun, high-energy classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acro, and Musical Theatre –

all designed to inspire performers of every level, from toddlers taking their first steps to confident stage stars!​

Where it started

TEAM Dance Academy is a thriving dance school in the heart of Crystal Palace, South East London. At TEAM we offer affordable yet professional dance classes from age 2 years up. The school was founded in 2010 by Principal Lucy Rodgers who is very experienced and qualified in all aspects of dance.  Lucy and her staff pride themselves on their professional approach and uncompromising standards.

As a school we provide traditional dance training for children and young people of different ages and abilities who want to attend a high quality dance class within a safe and positive environment. At TEAM we believe Ballet is where every dancer should begin and therefore everyone attends I.D.T.A ballet as their first discipline and then they can take additional classes in I.D.T.A Tap & Modern, acrobatics, stretching, progressive ballet technique, and musical theatre.

Where we are today

Through an established system of teaching basic techniques and developing each pupils’ individual skills, TEAM  students are encouraged to attain the highest standards in both examinations and in their participation in competitive dance festivals, performances and local events. We are proud to be All England Dance  2026 Regional Winners as-well as 2026 National Finalists. Our students since we began have performed in the numerous West End Shows and Companies - The English Youth Ballet, London Children's Ballet, Tap Attack, The Lion King, Matilda, Annie, Billy Elliot and Pantomimes at The London Palladium and Fairfield Halls.  A large number of our students can also be seen on TV in commercials, short films, tv series and music videos.

TEAM is also proud that our students have particpted and highly acheived at the SE Classical Ballet & Theatre Awards, UK Young Dancer and The International Dance Theatre Awards in Classical Ballet & Modern Jazz.

We are proud to boast we hold 100% pass rate in all our Dance Examinations.

 

TEAM is able to offer something for everyone, whether pupils are dancing for fun or seeking to achieve a high professional standard. We encourage all pupils and  parents to have fun and enjoy the happy atmosphere for which the school is highly regarded and proud of.
